Having handled in excess of 100,000 consignments each year over the last decade, Bishopsgate’s nationwide team of highly skilled logistics specialists has a wealth of experience on which to draw. Not only does this mean we have a thorough understanding of our customers needs but it also ensures that each and every delivery is efficiently planned and implemented from collection through to installation.

Key to this of course is the quality and professionalism of our crews, who we are proud to say are regarded by many as the best in the business. To operate effectively though they need the right level of resource, support and investment - both on the road and back at base.

On the road, you will find our fleet is fully equipped to handle just about every conceivable requirement. We operate a comprehensive mix of purpose built vehicles, comprising articulated and rigid-sided vehicles all fitted with tail-lifts. Each vehicle is then supported by a central control function in London together with two strategically located centres in Warrington and Glasgow. The operation is controlled by a dedicated software package that is linked by an advanced data and telecoms network which ensures a seamless transition of information throughout the UK.

Safety and security

Of equal importance is also our emphasis on maintaining the highest levels of security and safety - in the cab as well as at each of our centres. Peace of mind comes from the high levels of security employed at all our sites and a programme of clearly set out procedures. Intruder approach and alarm systems are supported by CCTV linked to central police stations. Further assurance comes from the fact that we carry full industry standard insurance on all consignments and can provide additional cover if requested.
